MiniCrops at Chop'd

Vertical Future’s food initiative, MiniCrops, uses agriculture technology to bring food production closer to London homes, reducing food miles and providing fresh, consistent, sustainable produce to households and restaurants.

The MiniCrops are grown in Deptford, less that 5 miles away from us, harvested overnight and delivered into our stores by 6am the next day. They are nutrient-dense with more nutrients per gram than fully grown vegetables. They have a highly concentrated flavour and are grown in a controlled environment which means better consistency and minimal waste.

We've developed two new salads for our Summer menu that showcase this amazing produce; a hot-smoked salmon and new potato salad with watercress, beetroot and zingy sorrel greens and a spicy Thai noodle with rare roast beef, pak choi, edamame and peppery radish greens.

At Chop'd we change our menu with the seasons. We always try to source the best, seasonal produce, as locally as possible because its more sustainable and food just tastes better that way. That's why we're so excited to be working with MiniCrops because you can't get much more local than this! We hope you love them as much as we do.
